Isaro Foundation Founder Pays Tribute to Nelson Mandela

Statement: 004/2013

Status: For Immediate Release

Jackson, December 5th, 2013

Today, December 5th, 2013 marks a historical loss for the African continent and the World. Tears alone cannot express the sorrow we feel - and will continue to feel- at the absence of the father of African freedom. Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela lived a life of a true and determined hero. He was not only a politician, but also an agent of social change. During his life, Mandela promoted education as “the most powerful weapon which one can use to change the world”. He undoubtedly knew that we can’t talk of freedom without knowledge, knowledge that can only be abundantly found in reading books. A writer himself, Mandela recognized that “a good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination.” Mandela’s legacy will live for many centuries, his memory will stay with us and the foundation he laid for us and the next generations will enlighten lives of millions.
