Statement from Isaro Foundation on the 21st Commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda

Statement: 002/2015

Status: Released on April 7th, 2015

As we remember for the 21st time the Genocide perpetrated against the Tutsi, Isaro Foundation joins Rwandans and the entire humanity in this period. Remembering the genocide against the Tutsi gives us time to reflect on this horror and the courage to fight so that this never happens again anywhere. The scars of the genocide are still very prominent in Rwanda and will never fade, but the spirit of resilience and rebuilding Rwanda is alive - and shall never die. Isaro Foundation pays tribute to all the lives lost and will continue to join others in uniting the Rwandan people.

We believe that reading and writing about the Genocide perpetrated against the Tutsi is an obligation of memory and that it helps generations to not forget what happened in the country of a thousand hills.

Remember, Educate, Protect
